Relay for Life at CTK (Christ The King Catholic Secondary School)

Mathnasium of Georgetown had the privilige of sponsoring and participating in the Relay for Life event for the second year in a row at CTK. We enjoyed playing math games and challenging the relay particpants who spent the entire night circling the ground floor of their school hallways, symbolizing the continuous fight against cancer throught the day and night.
It was such an inspiration for us to be part of this huge event that is entirely organized by the youth of Georgetown under the guidance of Lauren Harrison who graduated from CTK last year.
The Relay for Life is a fund raising event for the Canadian Cancer Society. This event is expected to be the largest youth relay in the GTA. We are so proud of the youth of Georgetown.

Coming out of COVID, my daughter was struggling to even get a passing grade in 5th grade math. We enrolled in Spring of her 5th grade year. She was brave enough to challenge herself in accelerated math for 6th grade, and now 7th grade. She is displaying understanding and making excellent grades. She actually asks to go to Mathnasium, and we make sure to keep it a priority between other extracurricular activities because we have seen so much benefit. We are so grateful for Mathnasium!

My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for just over a year. She was nearly failing algebra last year when we came for help. After a few months of tutoring she just barely missed mastery on her STARR testing. This year in geometry she has not dropped below a 90! Her geometry teacher has told me that she is one of her best students and was surprised to hear she goes to tutoring. My daughter says class work is easy because she learns everything in tutoring first then she takes it back to the classroom. There is excellent communication and feedback on how my daughter is doing while with her tutors. I cannot thank Mathnasium enough for what they have done for my daughter!!

I have sent my kids to mathnasium and has helped tremendously. When I first sent my son math was definitely he worst subject but became one of his highest grades. We stopped mathnasium because he was confident with his math ability. He did not go for like 3 years but as a senior started struggling with calculus so I enrolled him again at mathnasium and he is doing a lot better. Cannot recommend mathnasium enough if your child struggles in math it will improve their grades and give them confidence in their ability to learn math and other challenges as well.

Lillian was able to catch up to her class and is doing much better overall in math. She also seems to connect with the tutor and likes having someone to help her understand her homework. The only negative I have, but its not anything that affects her as a student, is that the emailed "progress reports" need some work and/or simplification. It's really hard to gauge what progress is made as things are always changing and the percentage numbers don't actually seem to mean anything. I honestly just started ignoring them and just use her school performance to determine if its being successful.

Mathnasium has been such a fantastic experience for my son who has been enrolled for the past 3.5 years. The teachers are dedicated, supportive, and truly student-focused. Re: Mathnasium Georgetown, the Director and Owners have an effective partnership and their primary focus is the academic success of the students. Throughout the pandemic, they have adhered to precautions to maintain a safe environment, while still continuing their high-quality instruction coupled with a great deal of fun! I cannot say enough positive things about Mathnasium Georgetown.

Kira is an excellent tutor. My son has more confidence in math and is much much much more amenable when it comes time for homework. This has resulted in his bringing his report card grade up from a low C to a low B in less than a semester! Nearly ten points! We are going to continue to use Mathnasium for as long as my son feels he needs it.

Leah is the very best. She's so patient and provides just enough guidance to challenge my son to figure out each problem independently, while also building his confidence at the same time - not an easy combination to get it right, but she does. His attitude towards school has completely shifted, he loves going to tutoring and when he's at school, instead of being a passive learner, he's raising his hand to call out the answer and being 100% 'there'. For me, my sons' experience with Mathnasium isn't just about mastering concepts but achieving confidence, and a love of learning. Love Leah and everything she's helped our children to accomplish.

I enrolled my son at Mathnasium RR in Teravista after a recommendation from a friend who sends all three of her children to them for math tutoring. My son was finishing second grade with about 50-60% in math and we knew that was not good enough. He started the summer by going to Mathnasium 3 times a week and I was worried he wouldn't like it. However, he loves going and loves getting prizes for completing and mastering the work. I find that he is now thinking and talking about things in terms of numbers, ie. how long it takes to get home, dividing items up between siblings, etc.
What I like about Mathnasium is how accommodating the site has been to our needs. The director Leah is incredibly friendly and cheerful. She has never said no to any one of my requests in regards to scheduling and pickup. I have even texted her at 10pm, expecting a response the following day, but she immediately tended to my request and responded. The best thing about Mathnasium are the results...my son now has a 90% in math. I am thankful to them for helping our little boy with his confidence at school. I would definitely recommend Mathnasium to my friends.

Brandyn was struggling in math. He was failing in his 7th grade math class. I knew I had to do something. So I took him to Mathnasium two times a week for one and half hours. He began being more confident in math and his grades showed it.
In three month of going to Mathnasium, he ending up passing his math class with an 80 and even better he mastered his star test in math.
I am very grateful for what Mathnasium in Georgetown, tx has done for my son. And yes I would recommend it to any parent.
Thanks again and I am sure I will be seeing you again in the future.

My niece was in 7th grade and was held a year back due to her grades with a 4th grade level understanding of math. Now she is caught up in 8th grade with an outstanding record of all A’s due to Mathnasium. I would definitely with out a doubt recommend Mathnasium. It’s affordable and the staff is always nice and organized.

We have had an excellent experience with Mathnasium, Georgetown. Our 15 yo Daughter has been going there for tutoring for almost a year. We have seen huge improvements in her Math skills & overall comprehension of Algebra. Leah has been so kind & flexible & has gone out of her way to accomodate us.
We highly recommend Mathnasium to all who need help or want to improve their Math skills.

We are most pleased with the results we have seen! Our daughter’s grades have improved significantly and although the cost was a bit steap... we feel it has been money well spent. I would give a 10 however I am disappointed in children not being picked up on time by their parents and being a distraction for my daughter and other students. I know the management and instructors are trying to be kind and understanding of parents schedules... but they need to crack down on these parents and kids that run around and are loud. Has happened several times and is very frustrating to my daughter and I.

My daughter in 8th grade loves going to Mathnasium. Because of Mathnasium she is doing much better in her homework and overall grades in Math at school. It is a fun environment with great instructors. On average she goes about 3 times a week and looks forward to going. As a mom, I am thrilled with Mathnasium.

Our kid LOVES Mathansium and she doesn't want to miss any classes. Mrs.Jessica made this facility kid friendly and fun with her genuine passion towards kids. We simply love our experience and glad to see have this center so close to our home. Our kid is doing great at Math in school and we believe the teaching methods are uniquely tailored for excellence.

We have been going for over a year and have no plans to stop. The kids like the fact that they don't get frustrated at school by math anymore. With everything going on in our daily lives it is a small price to pay for giving the kids confidence to achieve something that most of us struggle with-MATH.

Since enrolling in Mathnasium's tutoring program, not only has Zamir's confidence increased, but he was able to raise his math grade in the final 9 weeks of his school year by two grade levels. We are extremely proud of Zamir and are grateful to Mathnasium for pinpointing the gaps and building a program that is clearly helping our son to succeed.

I originally sent both my boys to Mathnasium:1 to help catch up on work after a brief illness, the other to ensure he was ready to take on TAG math. Jessica and her staff have done an amazing job. While one son is taking on the rigors of calculus, the other is now in 8th grade algebra. As a busy parent, what I appreciate most about Mathnasium is no additional homework. Instead they work on ensuring the learner is foundationally sound with exercises tailored to his or her unique needs. They even allow time for some amount of homework to be worked during their visit.
We've been with the Georgetown campus since day one and plan to be throughout high school.
